Why has private messaging been disabled?

Myself and several others I have contacted on this site state that their ability to private message someone on this forum has been disabled by the administrator. Why?

I don't understand it either, the same thing happened to me. Has anyone contacted you about it? I'm surprise theres no responses to this thread. I messaged Aleesha and GoodCat but no response yet. Perhaps its some sort of glitch in the sysystem? I don't know.

apparently private messaging is no longer available on the forum. It would be a good idea if the administrator would delete the clickable option then. So everyone isn't confused when they get the message "administrator has removed your private messaging" and thinks they did something wrong. lol

PM's were stopped long ago.

I joined in 2005 I think and messaging was switched on then but it got switched off not long after when there was some nasty stuff going on through PM.

Actually you are safer using email to contact members I think. PM is very easy to hack by admin on this style forum.

I would encourage people to allow emailing - to a specified email address if you don't want your regular mail box filling up.
