I am on my 4th week 100% raw. I didn't weigh myself for the first 3 weeks, and I wish I hadn't this week. I have moved over a belt hoop and am ready to move over another soon. I haven't seen weight loss this week though. Why would I be getting smaller but not losing weight. I haven't been exercising so that isn't it.

I thought maybe that the raw diet is getting rid of the dangerous belly fat that I carry. I just don't understand why it wouldn't show on the scale.

My blood sugars are sure showing the benefits of raw. Yay!!

Are you female? Retaining water/hormonal changes? Or, could just be body adjusting and building muscles and losing fat, normalizing and getting into the state it always wanted to be in without the exercise/diet means that so many people are used to turning to. Not sure. Just tossing ideas out there.

Here are a couple of options other than the fluid retention.
1) you weighed more than you thought to start with.
2) your scale is faulty
3) a combo of the above two

Stop weighing yourself! A belt loop tells all. I have been the same weight since going raw but my clothes "fit" now. Yippee!

I agree -- stop using the scale! I don't even own one. I chart my progress with a tape measure, it's more accurate. But it's slower to show results, so I try not to check every week.

And CONGRATULATIONS on clearly having lost weight!!!!!

Thank you everyone. I am feeling so much better. When I started I told myself that I wasn't going to weigh, but I caved. My scale just lost its batteries mysteriously. lol Thanks for the support. :)

It sounds like you are loosing the fat. Which is what we want. You can try to cut down on salt and see if that helps. :)
