Hello, I am new to this site and to the Raw food diet. I live in Orange County California (Costa Mesa) and will be married for a year in January , we have 2 hyperactive puppies to keep us busy, and the most wonderful dogs ever! ( my babies). I came across this website and was interested in doing the Raw food diet and staying Raw for life :o. One hard challenge will be to cook for my husband, and raw for me.
Today is my first day of fasting which is not hard as I have fasted my whole life for religious reasons. Then after my fast/detox I will go raw all the way. It will take me some time to invest in the dehydrator and all the other supplies needed for this lifestyle but I know I can do it. I look forward to learning new things from all of you.
Take care, Rolla

Welcome! I'm a newbie too. I'm on my 4th day all raw today. Don't worry about the equipment, just get started. Keep it simple. I will suggest that you get Alissa's book and DVD when you get a chance.

Thank you! I am going to get them this week because I will need them, that's for sure! Simple is the key for me ;), thanks.
How are you doing on your 4th day?

I'm actually doing pretty good. I really want to commit to the 30 days 100% and so far so good. We can motivate each other.... :D Keep me posted on your progress.

Welcome Rollab & Rawtwists! I wish you well on your raw journey.
Agree with both of you. Keeping it simple is a good plan. Making it complex can make you frustrated. All I had for the first 3 weeks was a smoothie blender ($29). Sounds like you both have the right mindset as well!

Thanks Timmy for your support.
Today is my 4th day raw and so far so good (like you said Rawtwist)! I must say that it does get tough at work smelling the food, especially today they are having a potluck!:( So I will be leaving for lunch to check on my two puppies and fix a big wonderful salad :) . I have noticed that I didn't eat that much this past weekend, which is good for a change....hahahaa
Keep up the great work everyone :)
