Hi,

I want to enter this contest at this local store. You have to come up with a recipe idea. I want to enter with a raw recipe. Most people are entering with unhealthy recipes. Here are the rules:

What we’re looking for are items that combine to make a unique and tasty meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner – not a complex set of ingredients to make only one item.

I'd like it to not be a recipe of someone else. I just need some suggestions/ideas. Also the ingredients must be ingredients that are available at the store. To give you an idea of what kind of store it is, they do not carry hard to find items and not too many "health" items. It is kind of like your typical major market but much smaller, but they do have some organic foods, and a little bit of unique stuff. Thanks

Nori Wraps?
Lettuce Wraps?
Dips for veggies.
Some kind of granola bar with oats/dates/nuts?
Salad with not so common ingrediants, Sprouted lentils/carrot salad???? Raw ambrosia.
Soup or savory stew for dinner. Like corn chowder. Gazpacho???

Good luck may the raw one win. :)

My non-raw dad really loves the two raw soups I've made for him -- so much so that he's bought his own vitamix so he could make them himself!
One was a creamy tomato, the other a cream of mushroom. Also I like the corn chowder suggestion!

Or....... what about a healthy milkshake? Cashews/bananas.... maybe strawberries? You can even make it a green vanilla milkshake if you add spinach.

Great suggestions gives me some ideas. I really hope that it wins. Cause if they pick your recipe they print it in their paper. They have been making meal suggestions in their paper, they will have 3-4 items; like for example chicken + noodles+ alfredo sauce = Chicken pasta dinner. And they will put the total cost at the end. They are trying to get people to buy items to make meals. So it would be cool if it were a healthy meal and a raw one to boot. Some people have submitted "healthy meals" but they really are not so healthy, just healthier than the regular unhealthy meals.
