Hi Everyone

I am 58, live and work in China, have done for the past 10 years.
I am on day 9 of a raw food cleanse/ diet. What led me to this was I found I was feeding uncomfortable feelings, emotions and thoughts with sugar. It was escalating to such a point that I really felt unhappy and out of control. the first few days I had headaches tiredness and mild depression. Now after only 9 days I feel so much better energized and the best thing is my moods are more stable I don't get angry as much and if I do I can control it, see it for what it is and move on this is an added bonus I didn't,t anticipate.

This year has been one of self discovery and has led me on the journey of healing spirit, body and mind. I hesitated in which order of importance to put body or mind but the spirit is definitely number one.

Well I went on holidays to Vietnam over Winter to catch up with my best friend of 30 years who is my biggest motivator to get well. I ended up buying a restaurant and will take it over in June.

I want the restaurant to be primarily raw, use local produce in the menu.

The restaurant is more of an expression of my healing journey than a money making venture, I would open a Mc Donald's if I wanted to make real cash LOL.

I trained as a chef years ago have cooked in health retreats been a cook/manager. I have always favored vegetarian and healthy food in my own diet.

I am really energized for this project and by joining this forum I hope to gain people,s insights, experience and knowledge.

ide say theres a need for oil less salad dressings , based in seed / nut mylks or fruit juices , or other . but point is here at 18th year vegan / 6th year raw i see even cold pressed oils as substances that should only be lightly used , say 1/4 cup per week max . as opposed to like a 1/4 cup per nite on salads . anyway goodluck with your bistro
