Last week I made a green smoothie that I couldn't finish.....My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I made a gigantic smoothie. So instead of throwing it out (I can't stand the taste of smoothies if they are not freshly made)....I decided to freeze the remainder in ice trays and use it in my smoothies for the rest of the week instead of ice-cubes. So when I made my green smoothies last week I used some organic apple juice, an orange and then chucked some fresh greens and some of my "smoothie ice-cubes". It was sooo good. Just wondering if I'm losing nutrients by freezing the green juice, then adding to a freshly made smoothie. It also saved me a lot of time from cleaning and cutting up more veggies. Plus like I said - it was so good!

From everything I've read, there isn't SIGNIFICANT loss from freezing. It seems, especially the way you are using the left-overs, that it's a win-win situation.

If you can avoid frozen food, it is far best because it does age you as well. Not to count that as per dr. Graham, it seems to affect your B12 negatively. But if this help you, to stay on this journey then do what feels right to you.

If you use ice cube anyway, it is ok to use the frozen smoothie but make sure to have fresh greens as well.

All the best!

Yes...I agree - I always throw in fresh greens as well.
