So this weekend was the one that would be sent to test me, and I failed (if only there was a emoticon for hanging my head in shame).

Last night I took one of my friends out for a birthday dinner, although I picked the pub so I could have salad, I also ate a small piece of bread, and my salad came with cheese :groan: and of course I ate it.

I'd love to say it ended there but today we went to our local Buddhist monestry for a celebration, and we succumbed to some of the amazing Thai food, and some of the desserts. If only we'd had time to make our smoothies this morning, but I was so distracted trying to prepare an enormous salad to take.

Then after an afternoon of putting up a new fence, we were awful and ordered a pizza:thud: I only ate half of what I would have done previously and I am now suffering with a sore throat and feeling :sick: Hubby feels disgusting too. It didn't even taste good either!

Both hubby and I are drawing a line under it, and want to make a fast recovery from it. I've just made some almond milk, and am about to make some super intense green smoothies, and some nut and date balls.

I was thinking of having a few days only on smoothies, would that help get this all out of my system? Or would a juice fast be better?

Most importantly: FORGIVE YOURSELF! :throwhearts:

Seriously, we're all human and humans slip sometimes. I've been very confronted lately with a difficult writing project and my impending 50th birthday -- between anxiety and celebrations, I've been slipping too! Oh well, such is life. :wuv

Either a smoothie or juice fast would be great for cleansing and to help you feel more in control.... which would you ENJOY the most? Personally I think just returning to eating raw would be just as healing.

I agree with qwerty ~ Just hop back on the raw wagon and all will be well.

If you're really wanting to cleanse, personally for me - it would be all fruit. Just what works for me.

But even if you just jump back to all raw, you'll do just fine.

Sometimes we just have to "give in" and eat like that. I do it occasionally and that's just the way it is. I don't even feel 'guilty' about it any longer.

No reason to splurge, then purge. We humans are very strange. We go from one extreme to another. Just go back to eating raw. You'll feel better emotionally as well as physically.

LOL, great story. No need to worry about it, just learn from the experience and move on.

I had a mega green smoothie last night, then I have guzzled 40 oz smoothie this morning, apples for lunch, planning another green smoothie this afternoon and salad for dinner.

Feeling better already

It has truly shown me how amazing I feel on raw, was shocked at how quickly my throat hurt though!
