:wuvHello!
Does anyone know how to make almond kefir milk and/or yogurt? Also, is there a difference in starters (live versus packaged, etc.)? I am so new to this... And, what is the difference between fermented drinks and kefir? Thank you for any help!

I buy my started from Elena love. I am not an expert with the started but i was happy with the result from this place.
As for the almond, the good news, you don't need a started, the ambient room has enough yeast to do a great yogurt. Doing the almond is more laborious for me only because i pill the almond. The trick is to soak them for two days, you need to change the water frequently at least twice per day.
Once it is done, blend the white almond with water, i cannot remember the amount of water with respect of the amount of almond but as less as you can because you want to extract the rich milk after with a nut bag. Once this is done, you put the milk inside a jar (make sure it has been sterilize before-dishwasher will do), don't put the lid and let it sit over night in a warm place. The yogurt will float on the top, you can eat this with fresh fruits on top. You can also add a sweetener but i prefect just fruit such blueberries. Delicious.

Life does not come from non life ever.
