Hello everyone. I'm currently living in Japan, and just started trying to eat mostly raw foods. I am extremely excited about this transition. I've been mostly vegan the past several years, and this is the next step on my journey. I didn't ever think I could "go raw," but I've been doing it in ways that work for me as an individual. I'm learning so many new, amazing things that I would just like to shout out to the world. The problem is that so many people don't want to hear it. But, I can't help but share my enthusiasm sometimes about some great recipe I've tried & so forth. Japan isn't conducive toward a vegan diet let alone a raw one. But, I'm trying to eat mostly at home. I'm also working toward getting my family to eat raw. My 10 year old and 20 month old need this healthy, tasty stuff too! Anyway, I'm looking forward to exploring this forum, and I'm so excited that there is support out there for people wanting to adopt this lifestyle. I've never met a raw foodist let alone imagined being one, so I'm grateful to know I'm not alone in this journey.

Hello!

I have been raw for 2.5 years and I have only met very few raw foodists, since I live in a rural island in Canada :) I too wanted to shout to the rooftops but found that most people weren't interested. That's why I think having an online community is so important - we can get our shouting done online :)

Eating at home is definitely the easiest, and also more exciting since all I can order when I go out is a boring salad most of the time!

I think you are going to have an easier transition than most since you're already mostly vegan, which is a good thing. And it sounds like you're pretty excited, which is great.

Welcome!
