Has anyone experienced vision changes after going raw? My glasses aren't working right anymore. I find myself taking them off. Again, this is probably the result of my drop in blood sugars since beginning raw. Things are happening very fast around here. lol I just got new glasses in October and my insurance won't cover new prescriptions for a year. Grrrr

While my eyes haven't "improved" (as in needing a weaker Rx) since going raw, what they have done is to stay the same. My eye doc is impressed with this because according to him, people my age (56) usually need a stronger Rx every year. My eyes always required a stronger Rx yearly before this. Raw vegan 4 years.

I see what you mean lol. Had no such issues, but have heard that others have had the issue.

Thanks. I am going to go to the eye doctor, and see what she has to say. I am excited by the thought of my eyes improving by lowering my blood sugars through a raw diet. It is a happy side effect that I had not even considered.

Well I used to wear glasses 100% of the time, now I just wear them after 4pm when it is a bit darker (which affects my vision). When you wear glasses your eye muscles are literally not working as they are looking at the lens. So your eyes no longer focus etc. So I think for people who do wear glasses it is very important to go for periods of time without them so your eyes get their daily workout. It also means over the long term your prescirption changes will be less harsh as your muscles will be maintained. If you wear glasses 100% of the time your whole eye becomes weakened I think.

That makes sense. I know that diabetes also affects my vision as well. :)
