It's such a PITB to take out all the seeds, LOL

You mean white part and red skin? It's very easy to remove the red juicy goodness. Slice open in a bowl of water and peel them off the white pithy part. Strain; throw in blender... do it to it. Simple.

Yes, I meant the whole thing.... I eat as many skins as I can..... and seeds too.

I think they coat them with a waxy substance, but could be wrong....and since they're not labeled as organic, I wouldn't trust that they're not sprayed with something either, so don't think it's a good idea to eat the skin.
Just my thoughts.

The pith on pomegranates does not taste good. You could try vitamixing the whole thing but I reckon you'd never do it again on account of the taste.
I use a sharp knife to remove the "top-knot" and a small cone of the core underneath then I score down either side and pull apart with my fingers. After that I just rub the seeds off segement by segment and it takes very little time at all and there is no pith.

They're not all coated... not sure if any are. We pick 'em off the tree here. Personally? I wouldn't do that to my VM, much less to myself. Pith is bitter; can't imagine the skin tastes good either yet, if you want to give it a shot, go 'head on. Let US know how that works for you.

I imagine you meant wouldn't...... but I certainly would as my Vitamixer is many years old and has done so many things that I think would be harder than processing a pomegranate... Pith is bitter. I know because I eat orange piths. I was more concerned about if there were definitley parts that should not be eaten because they are actually bad for me.

You're right, I meant "wouldn't" do that to my Vita-MIX.

LOL, I knew what you meant Revvell.....I just looked at where you live....no wonder!
So, I'm in Ohio, and my dh grows apples for a living on his farm, and sometimes the apples look waxy, even though we don't coat them....Do the pomegranates have this same waxiness that I was guessing might? be added?
Are pomegranates hard to grow? How many trees do you have?
Kinda jealous,
