EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. A kind of emotional detoxing.
It's based on acupuncture but instead of needles involves tapping on points while running through a mental process or EFT "rounds" discussing emotions/symptoms/whatever you want to deal with.
http://www.emofree.com/ - I think the site is down temporarily but google and youtube should point you in the right direction.
People claim it can cure a range of illnesses and that built up negative emotions and complexes cause serious health problems. There is no science proving it though so it's considered a pseudo science.
While I don't believe that it's a magical cure all I think it has it's benefits, even if all the tapping does is keep you calm, grounded and have a meditative effect it's quite therapeutic in itself.
It's a fact that a build up of emotions can be detrimental to your health, at least by throwing off your balance, they can effect your sleep, digestion and immune system. As well as obviously your mental health! Talking through your feelings and examining your fears, insecurities or any negative feelings you have can only be healthy by helping you work them out. EFT is about picking apart the problem, going deeper so that you're tapping rounds on the right thing. The process itself is helpful whether the claims have anything based in fact or not.
For some reason a huge part of it is also drinking lots of water between rounds. Nearly always a good thing.
Because I try to base things in science and like to see the facts of things I'm probably not it's best advocate but I do support and recommend it.
I was thinking of using it alongside detox fasting and gentle yoga for a physical and mental all round thorough detox.
Thoughts?
