Do any of you freeze your veggies so you have something to juice in the winter? Does it work well to freeze just the juice? Does freezing do any damage to live food?

I've never frozen veggies to juice later. I have frozen fruit though and use those in smoothies. I've also frozen greens like kale & chard from our garden - and once frozen, smooshed them down almost powder-like and have added those to smoothies.

As far as does freezing damage live food? I was just listening to Kevin Gianni and he said only minimally - that it actually puts the enzymes 'on hold' as it were. I've read a lot of people saying that ofcourse we know fresh is best, but freezing is a close second. I've also read that sometimes frozen cab actually be better quality than what's offered fresh in the grocery store, as the frozen produce is generally picked at peak flavor and frozen quickly - vs. being shipped thousands of miles, days after being picked unripe. Interesting!

You'd have to either make smoothies or use a masticating juicer but what Deb said.

I freeze fruits. When they are in season and on sale. Then I can have smoothies for winter. I have frozen kale but for smoothies not juicing.
