As I have said, I am not 100% raw, and never will be, but I wanted to share what 2 months of eating more raw has done for me.
Triglycerides have gone down from 672 to 313
Bad cholesterol dropped to 126.... was over 200
Good cholesterol is 36.... forget what it was
A1C went from 10.3 to 8.3
So, still a ways to go, but definitely a HUGE improvement as I see it... and this has only been 2 months of being partially raw.

What percentage of the food you eat is raw just out of interest?

Let's just say not nearly as much as most here, but 10x more than I used to.

And any change in your weight? Energy level? The stats are great but how you "feel" is more important.

Down 17 pounds. I don't really think I feel better, yet, tho.... but I still have 90 - 100 to lose.

Great results Papa! Look at that A1C dropping nicely after two months. I'm curious, are you eating much raw fruit? I haven't been in to have blood work done again since we started eating raw. I really don't want to cut out fruit.
And grats on the weight loss! It's better to lose the weight slower because you'll have more of a chance of keeping it off and this way is so much more healthy. :D

Probably too much raw fruit..... blood sugar was too high, still.

Yeah, but still dropping by 2 points in two months is wonderful! I can't remember if you said, are you on any medications for diabetes? My doctor keeps trying to shove them at me but (as far as the last time I remember over a year ago) my A1C was 6.1 and I refuse to take anything up to this point. I believe he said to shoot for 5.0 or less. It's one of the reasons I wanted to go raw since many of my mom's side of the family had complications of diabetes (amputations and such back 50-75 years ago).

OK, so when I posted this, it was before I had my physical and spoke with the doctor. Yes, she was thrilled, but one thing that was not relayed to me over the phone was that I have an "underperforming" thyroid, so now I have to go take a test designed specifically for that... And I also have to take 4 prescription strength fish oil pills ( Lovaza ). She took me off my cholesterol medication because she thought if I stay eating like I am, and I take the fish oil pills, my cholesterol will be just fine.
