Does anyone know of an inexpensive online source for raw food, specifically nuts?
Right now, I've been buying my nuts from a local healthfoods store. The person working there tells me they are raw, but somehow I doubt they truly are. So, I am looking to purchase truly raw nuts online at a good price. If anyone could share with me a good, cheap online resource, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I don't think you'll ever get them "cheap". The best you can hope for is good value for money. Where are you geographically? I am in the UK and the nut situation here is very different from say the USA

I am in Fairborn, Ohio, which is right outside of Dayton. It is not raw friendly here at all. So, yes, the closer I could get, the better. Shipping fees can be expensive.

I'm not sure how the price of these compare to the ones you are currently purchasing, but www.nutsonline.com offers a great variety of raw nuts, seeds, dried fruits such as dates, raw nut butters, cacao, spirulina, etc at lower prices. Be sure to search for "raw" though, since they also carry non-raw items. Also, shipping is VERY fast - usually only a couple days. I've been ordering raw items from them for a few years now and have been very pleased.

While I have not ordered from http://www.bulkfoods.com/nuts.asp#Raw, I would have had I not found Azure Standard. Unfortunately Azure doesn't have a truck route to Ohio yet. I still may order some things from them as they have better prices for some things and they have items Azure doesn't. It's also one of the few places that offer cheaper shipping on raw nuts and seeds that I've found online.
If you order $80 worth their shipping is only $5. In fact, they are just down the road from you in Toledo! They may even have a store front there or allow people to go pick up their orders, I'd check that out if I were as close as you are. :)

Thanks! Their prices do seem the most reasonable yet.

Raw From the Farm is the cheapest that I've found, and they're great quality.
Their website is rawfromthefarm.com

Do you have any good suggestions for UK based suppliers? Online or otherwise. :)
Anything in particular to avoid etc? Store situations are pretty similar through out the UK.

Thanks for the link to Raw from the Farm. I've bookmarked them. I see they have raw buckwheat and millet that sprout for a good price. Depending on shipping I may have to order from them. :)
