I've mentioned this in my miso thread but thought it deserved its own thread. I've been watching the Dr Oz show a few times since I'm amazed by how much natural health info he gives on a mainstream TV show, I think he's doing an awesome job at nudging people into natural health, they even went as far as giving a natural cure for cancer last week!
In one or more shows he mentioned the health benefits of miso, wakame and cilantro and thought these would make an awesome soup with the health benefits of all 3 ingredients. Since then I've told myself I'd make at least one of these soups per day, but it's so good I often make 2 or 3 per day.
This is what I do:
Fill a bowl with about 2 cups of warm water, add 1-2 tbsp of dark unpasteurized miso, I then use a whip to dissolve it into the water. Add about 1 tsp of dried wakame (it will expand tremendously), then chop about a quarter to half a cup of fresh cilantro and add it to the soup.
This is so good it's addictive!
