The last 2 times I ate hemp seeds, about 3 and 1 year ago respectively, I got excruciating stomach pain for nearly an hour after. I should also mention I have extreme pain tolerance, modern medicine has caused me to suffer for days with the pain equivalent to being shot buy a gun (a drug they gave me literally pierced a hole in my intestines), and suppose I'd rate that pain 10/10, I'd rate the hemp seed pain 5/10 (most people would rate my 5/10 as 100/10).

Needless to say, I've been terrified of hemp seeds since, but what's weird is that over 3 years ago I ate them all the time with no problems whatsoever, however the 2 that caused me pain were different, one was hemp seeds still in shell that you're supposed to eat with the shell (at least that's what I think, and I remember now those were cooked), and the other was in a vegan mostly raw "just add water"-type cereal mix I bought.

I haven't even dared eat the regular hemp seeds since. In fact I've been telling myself I'll test them again soon and while I'm at it I decided to have a teaspoon of the raw hemp seeds just now, wish me luck, I might be an excruciating pain for a while.

Does anyone have any idea why some hemp seeds cause me so much unbearable pain? All I find from searching "hemp seeds pain" is how great they are at preventing pain.

Thanks

I have no problem with hemp and love the sweet, nutty flavour. I get raw shelled hemp froma local company - although I don't think the hemp is local.

You were lucky that the hole in your intestines was found in time. Was it a big operation to fix it?

Well it's been over an hour and had no symptoms, but I did take a small amount. I'll try a bit more another time.

Well the hole in my intestines was officially Crohn's disease, which was one of the side effects of an acne drug I had taken shortly before getting Crohn's. It did "require" a surgery and they removed about a foot of intestines, but had I known what I know now I know it could have been reversed through a healthy diet. I've heard of cases of people told they had to have their entire colon removed and to have a bag to collect the stools (I forgot the exact name of that mutilating surgery), they refused the surgery, changed their diet and were completely cured of the disease. It infuriates me that modern medicine can ruin people's lives like that just for making money when there is plenty science proving the disease can be cured through diet, but there's no money in it so those criminals ruin people's lives with multi-thousand dollar mutilating surgeries.
