:cool: Yes I am doing at least 65 percent raw, 30percent raw. I have cut out fried foods, dairy products, except for low or fat free yogurt, I need your support :) It is hard for me to go veggie all the way because I love grilled chicken salads,and turkey., but I only eat about a palm size . I am trying to loose 70 pounds and I am a walker. Limiting my sodium, sugar intake , etc. :cool: My meals consist of salads, dried fruits,or raw fruits veggies, protein bars, veggie burgers, small amounts of Pasta,speggetti, whole grain breads, and cereal ,special k, Bran flakes, cherios, , I try to stay away from rice, soda, unless diet, butter,lard,fried foods,red meats and pork , no white bread, some white rice every now and then. I do like soup and chili in the winter, I am a coffee drinker, but fat free creams, sweetner. what are some of you guys menus on a regular basis, or daily foods, do you tend to eat nuts, or sunflower seeds, protein shakes or do you make your own shakes, I am on a low cal, low fat, carb plan myself . I have lost 12 pounds :cool: love your feed back :cool: Tn Area!!! My home but have travel a lot. I would like to have a sample day of just raw foods or at least 80 percent. My goal something I could be consistant 80percent raw and 20percent cook. :cool:

Hi Angeldoll, Welcome!!!! I'm glad you are learning about raw. I will tell you it's a heck of a lot easier than the other diets out there. No weighing, measureing, diet foods. I'm just getting started good myself. Mostly raw for about 6wks. Have lost 17lbs without worrying about carbs, proteins, etc. Have had lots of good things happen, now I'm heading for 100%(no cooked foods at all yesterday.Yeah).
You will want to get Alissa's book, it's full of info on why this is the way to eat, recipes. and all the nutritional info you could want. When you read about all the good things raw will do for you, you will be joining us in 100%, I'll bet.
Where are you in Tenn.?, My family and I are currently in Fla. but making plans to move back home soon(Chatt. area). Check out the site, and read folks journals, that will help. good luck and keep us posted on how things are going. Blessings Earthmama

Hi and welcome.
I read your bio and am constantly amazed when people say that they drink diet soda. I think the first step that anyone should make if they want to be healthy is to realise that diet soda and artificial sweeteners are poison and you should not even consume one. Please make this your first step to health.

Hi Angeldoll, For breakfast most of the time I have a green smoothie. My favorite so far is a couple of handfulls of spinach, or kale, a mango and a couple of bananas with enough water to blend it. I'm not a big fan of green stuff so I wasn't sure I would like it, but you just taste the fruit. A great way to get lots of greens, it's filling and really good for ya. then later in the morning I might have a handfull of almonds, or dates or both. Lunch is usually a big salad with raw ranch or ceasar dressing and sunflower seeds. Sometimes for supper I will make one of Alissa's entrees, or just have another salad or smoothie. Lots of choices with raw. Really fun learning about it.
Nashville is a great place. I have a dear friend who lives there. I'm urging her to try raw as well, but she's not ready yet.

:p yes is a weakness about once a twice a week, tring ot replace completely , one of my weakness takes time , I am a lot better so I will continue to improve. Any suggestions for health drinks , I drink lots of water and Herbal green tea. ;)
