My Cuisineart will be 13 years old on May 15th..... it was a wedding present.... and it gets used an awful lot.

Ditto. I have a Cuisinart that is 15 years old. Still works great.

I also have a Cuisinart, my second one. I passed my first one to a friend (it was given to me, used).

I use my Cuisinart a LOT, 11 cup. If I had to buy another, for us - I would look into a larger Cuisinart. The Cuisinart has a nice big food chute, which is nice.

Now though, I stopped putting the work bowl in the dishwasher. I recently had to replace it, it was getting brittle and broke. I believe it's the d'w that's doing that.

I also have a teeny FP, 3 cup? It's a KitchenAid. I would look at the KA (if it was me) also, although I've read that people have had food get inside its handle and get moldy. Maybe they've redesigned that..
