Hey,
Really nice to see such a active and detailed forum - just read an article on here about Protein, wow, some reeeeally good information i didnt know right there.

My names Joanna, ive been veggie for 5 years and vegan for about 2/2.5 years. About 6 weeks ago i started eating raw only (about 85%+) and combining with regular exercise and running.
Lost some weight, skin feels smoother and over all just feel a lot more healthy in ways i cant pinpoint exactly.
Anyway - im wanting to make my body as healthy as i can, heres a run through of my daily food intake.

Breakfast - Branflakes with Soya milk (Yes, not raw at all, thats where i "cheat".)

Lunch - roughly 100-150g of mixed fruit and nuts. (currents, cranberries, almonds, cashews, macadamia, hazelnuts, peanuts, pistachios, pinenuts)
1 piece of fruit. (Banana, orange or pear usually)

Tea - Mixed salad (Red onion, carrot, tomatoes, pepper, cucumber, courgette, lettuce, cabbage) The dressing is usually a mix of sun dried tomatoes, olives, gherkins, seeds, raisins, garlic, lemon juice, a mix of herbs/spices to taste, black pepper and sometimes chillies.

Snacks - 2 piece of fruit (usually banana, pear, apple, orange etc)
A few dates and dried apricots.

Drinks - Redbush tea, water.

(I live in England and only work part time, i cant afford the prices of some of the fruits and such so i try to keep to the cheaper ones.)

Let me know from your own knowledge and experience if that sounds pretty decent to you please and if theres anywhere that i could easily change and improve.

Massively appreciate any feedback :)
Thanks a lot fellow Raw people!

Joanna

first off... you can totally eat a lot more than you are and second... soy is sooooooooooooooo bad for you. do some research before you continue with it in your daily diet. almond mylk is soooo easy to prepare!

welcome!

I can? ace! Unfortunately im not losing that much weight even on this current diet so I wouldn't want to eat too much more in fear of gaining.

Only thing with almond milk is its not *that* widely sold near me and the places where it is its rather expensive :S Ill stick to soya for now but i do try and make sure i use as little as possible in my cereal and usually have my tea without. Ill do some more reading on it and try and source some cheaper almond milk :)

You can make your own fresh raw almond mylk!

Just let a cup of raw almonds soak a few hours, then blend it up with a few cups of water and voila -- almond mylk! I also usually add a splash of vanilla and/or some agave or sweetener.... some people add a touch of salt, some people strain it but I never mind if there's some chewy bits in there.

I enjoy cashew mylk, too.

Ok well that sounds pretty damn simple :) Ill try to source some cheap almonds and get making some milk. I guess i can always water it down more to make it even cheaper - sounds like a pretty good idea. Ill give this a go soon :) Thanks!

Going to spend some time tonight doing my Soya research. Im well aware that a lot of people say its really not good to consume. Ive also heard people sing its praises and say how good the oestrogen in it is? Anyway, ill research now and weigh it all up.

Glad to hear you are doing some research rather than allowing the soy industry to spoon feed you info. *pats Joanna on the back*

AND... I was, of course, speaking about making your own almond mylk... anything in a tetra pack is not raw.

I make my almond milk blend almond butter with water. I know the lazy way eventually I will soak.
