Lately DH has been high-raw due to the meals I have made for him. The only things I've cooked for them lately have been potatoes and rice. They've had a few organic corn-chips (although I'll be making RAW ones soon! yay) but for the most part their diet has consisted of a lot of raw dishes made by me. He's also been cutting down on the coffee (a real change for him)
He suddenly has got a LOT of chancre sores inside his mouth, under his tongue. He used to occasionally get one or two, but he was so bad for the past few days he could barely talk. He's recovering from it now. One day he happened to have it really badly when I made a raw turnip "pasta" with a spicy tomato sauce :( Yowch.
But I am amazed...

I have gotten canker sores when I go off & on raw. I seemed to have them the worst this last time. I am back to raw, but I think my body is really trying to tell me to stay raw from the bad food I ate 2 days ago. I have heard from others on this site that it happens.

I noticed alot of people use the term DH on here.
ex: "Lately DH has been high-raw due to the meals I have made for him."
I was thinking that it stood for someones significant other.
Thanks,
Lissa

DH when expanded can either mean "Dear Husband" or, depending on mood "Danged Husband" :D
Yes I think it is detox. I emailed him at work because we had talked about it, and he thinks that's what it could be too.

I noticed an association between chancre soars and acidity. Might be acidity leaving his body. (Those suckers hurt!) Once the acidity clears, he'll stop getting them. Celery juice and sea weeds help a LOT. The natural sodium is the most alkalizing mineral. It should help him clear the acidity with much less discomfort. Try celery/apple or celery/pear juice. Add sea weeds to your salads, or salad dressings (mock caesar salad dressing.)

Yes, those canker sores are definately detox!! I still get those when I eat too much tomatoe. I wonder if that fits in line with the "too acidic" thought?

How is he feeling now?

He's feeling slightly, but not completely, better. Still a few chancres, but he has less discomfort when eating. We're taking advantage of the weekend to get him to rest up. I've been giving him green smoothies so he gets some nourishment without having to chew.
Thank you for asking. :)

I've been raw for a while, and currently on day 29 of my challenge, and the past few days i've had an awful chancre sort in my mouth. Definitely detox I think. Congratulate him for moving towards better health!!!
