I made this tonight for dinner. It's based on Angela Stokes-Monarch's chocolate milk recipe. It's the first time I made it and I guzzled it it was SO good!

It's also very kid friendly if you leave out the cacao.

Chocolate Milk

- Water from 2 Thai coconuts
- Organic vanilla extract
- Carob powder
- Cacao powder
- Maca powder
- Lucuma powder

I just threw all the ingredients in the VM and blended. It actually turned a milky color and tasted so close to SAD chocolate milk, but BETTER!!!

I didn't measure, because I use these products all the time and am used to how much is a good combination for me. But if you need a close estimate, I will post it below.

Coconut water - my 2 produced 2.5 cups
Vanilla - 1 tsp.
Carob powder - 3 T.
Cacao powder - 1.5 T.
Maca powder - 1 tsp.
Lucuma powder - 2 tsp.

You can adjust any and all of the above to your liking. I got lucky and the first time I made it it was perfect!

Okay, I have to get to the Asian market for more coconuts because I am already having serious cravings for this drink! I'm in love!:heart

I usually make this with banana, minus lucuma and carob. Its yummy as well. I think I add greens too.

I'm so jealous of all of you that can find young coconuts! LOL I've saved the recipe to give it a try if I ever find the elusive non-mature coconut. It sure sounds nummy. :)

Look at or call every asian/indian/etc food store around, for years I thought young coconuts weren't available here when several stores sell them, I just didn't know about those stores until years later.

I get them at an Asian market. It's a little bit of a trip, but I buy a case at a time and I can't imagine not having them they are so delish!
