Just wondering why this forum chooses to use the terms "Juice Fasting" instead of "Juice Feasting"?

I don't think it does particularly. People come and go here and the dominant term for it comes and goes with them.

I guess I should have been more specific and I didn't want to invade that section of Raw Food Talk...but it states specifically under "Fasting": Juice fasting and water fasting advise, discussions, support and concerns. So, I wondered why this forum ("Raw Food Talk") chose to use "Juice Fasting" instead of "Juice Feasting".

I expect that it is because it is the fasting section that it is called fasting not feasting. It means the same thing so I have never really bothered about it.

That's the thing, for me, it does not mean the same thing. Fasting has a connotation of deprivation, whereas feasting has the connotation of indulgence. In fact, fasting is not truly in line with Alissa Cohen's teachings of raw at all, so I am surprised it is even allowed on this forum, as she teaches JUST EAT RAW.

fasting only means deprivation if you choose to see it that way.
It's not exactly not in line with Alissa's "just eat raw" but it certainly is a long, long way from the main thrust of her ideology.
I just finished a pint of apple, carrot and lemon juice. Not a fast, not a feast not even "just eating raw" ... just drinking a glass of juice!

You are bringing a great point and it is so interesting.
You cannot starve on juicing because you are loading your body with top quality of enzymes, amino acid, nutrients, vitamins and pure water.
As for Water fasting, you may be chock that you actually don't necessary starve yourself. It is so healing and amazing. The first three days, you will be hungry, not doubt then your body will go to a different mode and you won't be hungry anymore. I did a 16 days water fast and i had so much energy. My first 8 days water fast, i was beat up due that i was detoxing. Many problem went away and didn't come back. You go only on starvation mode when you starting to be hungry again, at this point, it is time to brake the bast. On starvation mode, your body will use your muscle. They study people that did a 40 days water fast and they found that their didn't lose any protein and their level of vitamin was fine. You need to do this right, that is the key. Water fast can be 100% safe as it cans be dangerous. Especially if you supplement during the water fast or doesn't brake it properly.
Alissa's philosophy is about freedom. If someone feels in heaven with juicing then this is perfect for them.
All the best
