View Full Version : Not much juice coming out of the juicer?

Hello again. I use this juicer right here:
http://www.amazon.com/Kuvings-Silent-Juicer-Upright-Masticating/dp/B004ZLCBES/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328810788&sr=8-1-spell

Does anyone else use it?

I've had it for about 2 months but what I noticed from the beginning was that there is never much juice coming out. When I look at Dan McDonald on Youtube, I always wonder how there's so much juice coming from his juicer.

Also, it seems to clog up ometimes especially when using a lot of celery.

Can anyone please help? Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

I'm confused by the link you posted as it doesn't look like a masticating juicer but if they say it is, I suppose it is???

What are you juicing other than celery? Are you cleaning the screen or mesh during juicing? How ripe is what you are juicing? How much produce are you juicing?

I juice celery, spinach, cucumbers, zucchinis and carrots (not many). I never juice sweet fruits.

I don't clean the juicer while juicing because that would take too long - By time I'd be done, the juice wouldn't be fresh anymore.

A typical juice for me would be a head of celery, 125g of spinach, 2 carrots and a cucumber.

I would cut it in smaller pieces. Dan The Man has a Breville which is a centrifugal juicer and moves at a much faster speed than yours. Mascicating are supposed to use less produce to make the same amount of juice but at a slower pace.
