So, not only did I have typos her name, but my question was about her onion bread...not pizza bread. Right after I saw this amazing video on a sandwich with it , I then watched another video on her pizza bread. lol.
I can't wait to make a bread. I probably could wing it with my current food processor.
Yes, I can't wait for the new dehydrator....Anywhere from the 16th to the 23rd for delivery. Oh well.

I've made onion bread a few times and I have to say there are very few things in this world I've had that are more delicious.
The problem, for me, is that I honestly can't stop eating it!!! I can easily go through a tray in one sitting...... The recipe I used was actually called "Even Better Onion Bread":

It is honestly AMAZING, whichever recipe you choose! Enjoy it -- and good luck! :throwhearts:

gotta link???
I haven't made her pizza bread - but I have used the "Famous Onion Bread" as a pizza crust. I'm with qwerty!!! It's amazing stuff and I have problems using portion control. I'll have to look up her recipe!

oh and from the you tube video of the sandwich she showed (which looked amazing) she had her sunny pate (one of my fav's) on one side, spinach then gauc. on another side. Yummm!!!
thanks for the feedback too Querty and Deb!
Hmm - the link's not working for me Juli. I'd highly recommend you trying the onion bread! I've never made Nomi's recipe - but wow, is the 'famous onion bread' delicious!

here you go, DebB
Thank you, Juli! I think I will try this soon. The original onion bread was just to over the top for my tastebuds. This looks like it would be more up my alley.

Thank you for posting the video Juli - I didn't know that was possible!
I like how she made the bread thicker for using it as a sandwich / pizza crust. And how she added the raisins and dates to make it softer & more pliable.
I'll have to check our store and see if I can get pizza spice. Her sandwich looks amazing - yum!

I can't wait to get a dehydrator so I can try things like this! I copied the mayo recipe from a post the other day (I think you posted that Juli? Thanks!) that could be used to make sandwiches. I'm really looking forward to having a nice thick tomato and lettuce sandwich! I used to eat mayo/lettuce sandwiches as a kid all the time though not with healthy bread and mayo. LOL Oh... if I had a dehydrator to make the bread then I'd have one to make eggplant bacon as well! I'm drooling now just thinking about it.

Hi Sunshine ~ I realize it wouldn't be "100% raw" - but what are your thoughts of using the lowest setting on your oven (with oven door propped open a bit with a wooden spoon handle). At least you'd be able to have your bread and such until you get a dehydrator?

Hehe, we got rid of our stove when we moved in here just over a year ago. We're planning on putting our other fridge, that's stored in our shed right now, in it's place this spring. I'd like to keep my greens at a slightly warmer temp than our fruits and drinks.
Oh ho - no stove! Okay ~ guess you will have to wait for your dehydator then :) How nice is that going to be - having two fridges in the kitchen! Fridge envy!!

So, I can't wait for my new dehydrator, so I'm making pizza in my oven with it open half way. The lowest temp my oven goes is 200, so I'm hoping this is o.k. if not, bye bye enzymes and hello pizza for lunch tomorrow.
Got a new pizza recipe at my class today at the Vegan Cafe!!! It was so amazing!!!
sundried tomato paste (did not have fresh tom), marinated mushrooms, fresh basil, olives....yum!!
You Lucky Ducky! Getting to take a class -or rather living somewhere that classes are available!
What did they use for the crust Juli?

Juli, I read of someone just using the heat from the lightbulb in the oven for dehydratng, don't know if that's an option for you, but maybe you can measure the temp using that method until your new toy arrives.
