I am not sure whether I am detoxing or have the flu. I have a fever over 101. Every part of my body aches I can't even stand my clothes touching my body. Even the hairs on my head ache. Any remedies???? I feel awful. Couldn't even go to work today. :(

I have asked that question before and my mentor, who is a master herbalist, told me that when you are sick you are cleansing. And she is so cheerful when she said it. As far as making yourself feel better that depends on what you want to do. You could take some herb tea (red raspberry is good) and you can take immune support or dr. christoper's (sp?) immunne support or it was called anti-plage.

The flu is your body detoxing. And so you want to aid that process, not hinder your body's response in any way.

Lots of water and rest of course, and also little to preferably no food. Anything other than water, that you put into your body will slow down the cleansing, prolonging it!
So if you can just do water, that is the best. An enema may help release the toxins quicker also.

If you dont feel you can do just water, you can juice cantelope for an infusion of vitamins.
Hope you feel better soon!
Warmly~

SweetGoddess and Nadhirrah are right -- I actually have little to add except my agreement with them.

As Rawkinlocs has stated so well in a few other threads here - it's ALL detoxifying, cleansing, getting rid of what's been carried around in our bodies down to a cellular level. Our body's natural state is wellness and health and it is capable of maintaining that . . . IF we nourish it and allow it to happen.

Nourishment = ripe raw & living food, pure water, activity, fresh air, and sunshine. When we're doing that, we're letting our bodies begin to return to perfect health. Our job,at that point, is to get out the way and let the healing occur. Uncomfortable at times? Definitely. Necessary? Absolutely!

This, too, will pass and you'll come out the other side again. Just rest.

You've gotten great advice... just wanted to say I hope you are feeling better soon because as necessary as this process is, I know it's not the most comfortable thing to go through!

Thanks for all of your advice. Today is the third day that I've had a fever :( and all the aches and pains. I have followed all of your advice but I am still not feeling any better. How long is this going to last?? :(

When it is flu like symptoms, I find that ginger does wonders to help me throw off the toxins.. use finger warm water and drop in some grated ginger to make tea and a little agave. I make sure to drink a ton of water, rest - and stop eating if I want it over in a hurry.
I hope it passes soon. And I always remind myself that I will feel better after it passes thatn I did before it began.
Best Always,
LN

It lasts as long as it lasts. No one can tell you exactly.

No one "wants" to go through detox yet, complaining about it wont change it. What you can do is change your attitude about it. Drug addicts don't want to go through detox either. Those giving up caffeine, alcohol, nocotine (all drugs) feel "better" on their drug ~ as do food addicts ~ until they realize the effect their habits and addictions are having on them. Thing is, if what they were doing was truly good for them ~ nourishing as well as cleansing, they wouldn't HAVE to go throught detox. Your body is telling you that what you've been doing is not right ~ soooo, celebrate it's communication; celebrate it's capabilities; enjoy the process. It'll pass and a whole new world of vibrant health will begin to open up for you.

It will be over when it's over. (Not being flip or insensitive here -- many of us have been through and still go through detox whenever our bodies are ready to release, so we do understand)

Guess I was just looking for some sympathy Revvell not such harsh words!!!! I am not a complainer by any means. I am usually the one who takes care of everyone else!!!! I just feel pretty rotten and need to get better ASAP. I have a lot of responsibilities i.e. work and taking care of a sick parent.
