Hi there,
I am new here and loving all the information!! This community is great! I have not gone completely raw yet, but am very interested in incorporating more fruits and veggies into my diet (baby steps).
I was wondering what greens are a staple in your diet? Or what do you rotate regularly? I am going shopping this weekend for some produce and am looking for some new greens to try out!
Thanks so much!

I like variety! But the two greens that I turn to most often are Romaine (Cos) and kale.
I love fresh spinach. It's so universal.. smoothies, sandwiches, soups, salads, even desserts (like variations of the famous Popeye's Ice Cream recipe).

I love spinach and collard greens in smoothies, but I couldn't do without massaged kale salad! For juicing, I love kale, celery and cukes. For veggie noodles, it's zucchini...... really can't live without any of them!
My always-have staples are kale, bananas, avocado, tomatoes and sprouts.

For Juicing my favorite is swiss chard. I definitely use celery,parsley,romaine,spinach, and Kale. Kale chips are awesome.

I could not live without spinach or kale, I also love collard greens, especially in my green smoothies...love romaine lettuce for its crunch and butter lettuce for its creaminess...
oh how I love my greens.

Nothing but the most nutritious greens for me.
* Wheatgrass/Ryegrass juice
* Sprouted buckwheat green juice
* Sunflower green juice
* Pea shoot green juice
* Algaes
* Seaweeds
* Alfalfa juice
* Weeds
l never bother with green vegetable juices because they are so weak that they taste like l am drinking water.

orange and beetroot go well together I think too - I can't drink a lot of beetroot juice though.

Beets add a sweet flavor and love the red color. Planting lots of beets in garden this year.

We are planting lots of everything in the garden this year. I just brought in 3 cubic metres of organic compost and we are opening up another area which was previously a lesser bindweed patch. I will try to take some photos at some point.

I mostly use kale, spinach and spring mix lettuce. I drink a lot of green smoothies because of portability and I can consume at my desk. I am trying to venture out an find ways to use romaine in the smoothies.

Spinach, kale and collard greens...in that order. I love romaine lettuce and leafy green butter lettuce in my salads, but for my smoothies the spinach, kale and collard greens are divine, and I have a whole veggie garden full of them...win/win. =)

Kale is my green of choice: tasty, versatile and probably the healthiest green. At my restaurant, SunCafe, we use kale in 9 dishes. You can juice it, add it to smoothies, make a massaged kale salad, add it to main dishes.

My favourite changes depending on what I'm craving. This week I had spinach, rocket, lambs lettuce and chinese leaves.
This week I'll see what's in the supermarket and what takes my fancy.
