Every time I open a bag of walnuts and wash them I wonder if everyone else does this. . .
To me the walnuts, fresh out of the bag taste bitter and look nasty. So I wash them, actually rinse them 6 to 7 times in luke warm water, then soak them for several hours to over night, drain, then dehydrate (or let sit all day in the nice warm sunshine all day, stirring occasionally). Now they taste sweet and so good.
If you've never liked the taste of walnuts -- try this! It really helps.
