So, my body tells me I'm full and satisfied, but my mind tells me to go back into the kitchen and get another corn/flax cracker with avocado and salsa. When I eat something great tasting (usually involving fat) I have a hard time limiting myself.
Any suggestions??? This might be a post for the mental support forum.

Yeah, I have a similar problem because so many of the recipes are just TOO DELICIOUS!!

Especially with the dehydrator recipes, it seems to trigger my bad habits from SAD eating... eating when I'm not really physically hungry or not stopping when I'm full.

There's really only two ways I've found to deal with this so far -- one is fasting, which temporarily helps me get a handle on my appetite because I always eat less after a fast. The other way is to just NOT PREPARE any dehydrated recipes (other than flax crackers.)

Weight loss is a goal of mine -- but so is eating less for health reasons. Some days I feel like I stuff myself!

I'm curious to hear some words of wisdom on the subject.......

I've heard others suggest mono eating for a few days to help with over eating behaviour.

Are you just starting out eating raw foods? If so then I suggest just eating what you want when you want. Your body is telling you that it likes what you are doing and it is looking for some sort of mineral/nutrient/vitamin, etc... that it's been missing throughout the years. Your body will eventually find equilibrium and you'll eat till satisfied, and typically you'll intuitively eat what your body needs.

One thing I've noticed about me is that if I haven't had any greens for a day or two, especially green juice, then I begin stalking the kitchen and devouring everything in site. But if I just make me some green juice my mind will quit trying to tell me that I need to eat something. All it really wants is mineral rich green juice.

I understand JJ! I can so easily overdo on the fats as well... Wish I had some tips, but it's something that happens to me too.

You always have great questions and interesting topic. It is so nice to have you on this board.

Same here. When i eat plenty of green smoothie, fruits etc... i don't crave that much for fat. But because i finished a 16 days water fast a couple weeks ago, i have been craving for a lot of fat. So i just don't resist and go with the flow.

You could have anxiety too and your body is seeking for comfort food. I surely have my share of stress and i am aware that my desire for heavier food could be just that. If i go outside and get my dose of sun even it is cold or cloudy, i don't crave for comfort food. Exercise also, helps me to have more balance.

Have you consider to start rebounding, or yoga or anything that will get you excited. I love nature, so for me i just go there.

Feeling your emotions is very helpful and it helps you to find the bottom of the issue.

Have a plan, if you have the same craving in the same time.

If you have had time to digest plenty your previous food and you have craving, then drink more water.

Don't eat, if you aren't hungry and you are doing the right thing to find a solution to that. It isn't a good idea to suppress our emotions ever because we give power to addiction.

Perhaps, in that time, you could plan to go for a walk or take dance lesson, anything fun to you (art, painting, reading, yoga)
