I am on day 8 of a juice fast. The first 5 days resulted in a dramatic loss of 9.6lbs however for the last 3 days I have had no change in my weight. Is this normal? While I did not begin the fast to lose weight, I do have a lot of extra weight to drop and would expect to have some kind of a change on the scale. Is this a sign that I may be taking in too few calories? My juices are pretty high in green leafys and sparing on the fruit and root veggies... should I shake up the mix on the juices a bit? I'm feeling pretty good otherwise, although I do have a lot of pain on my left side; possible healing crisis? I'm new to the juice fasting world so any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it's normal. What isn't normal is to be weighing yourself so often. It isn't reliable and it isn't helpful.

I like what MysticTree said. And yes, do make sure you are getting enough calories. The more juice you drink, the more nutrients your body gets, right? Your body can change without the scale changing. Just keep nourishing it.

Nine lbs is awesome. Yes it slows a little after the first week. Remember to drink water in between. When I was fasting and had alot of pain in my legs I did an enema and the pain went away almost immediatly. I read it will help the detox move along faster. Its a personal choice. Some don't do any but it helped me in a crisis.
