So, I have been waiting for my hunger to go decrease and today it was noticeably less.
I'm happy about this. It makes preparation easier too. :cheer:

That's great to hear. We all have to transition into going into raw. Were you vegan before going raw? I think that helps. But yeah, going raw can make you pretty hungry if you aren't used to it. It can be the same for vegans. I had someone ask me about how my hunger patterns were as a vegan. And it's totally normal. When you are adjusted to that way of eating, you get hungry normally. You might have some cravings, but that's normal too. I eat a lot of fruits because they taste so good and its satisfying. I'm mostly a raw foodie and I never get overwhelmingly hungry.

before going vegan 18 years ago all i had ever ate was meat / potato / bread / junk food , from childhood we all saw it as a to be big and strong you had to eat meat / potato / bread / milk and everrything else like fruit and vegi was just trash , lol. then went vegan and til going raw 6 years ago all i ate as vegan was cooked dry beans / rice / potato / bread / oatmeal / nuts / with salads and bananas thrown in , and that was a huge battle quiting old meat / cheese habits . but my change was based in ethical treatmment of critters so i was able to stick to it . then going raw OMG ;-) that was a year of war because of my dietary history of all cooked / heavy stuff . thats why i got into fasting 5 years ago to help get better control over appetite , plus obviously fastings bodily cleansing action . one thing when went raw and had huge cooked cravings was i kept seeing on diet suppliments was green tea because its said to suppress appetite . so for first year raw i lived on green tea . lemon in warm water also seems to help suppress too in my fasts , but that might just be me

well, you've done a lot of good for your body over the years!!! I was a vegetarian for many years up until two years ago when I went back to eating chicken and fish. I was thin/athletic my whole life until the last two years when I gained 35 lbs. I'm like, what's the difference here? I knew deep down that my body didn't do well on meat. My chiropractor would tell me that I just need a digestive enzyme to help me digest it. So, I took those. Anyway, I now know that raw is the place for me. I just need to join some groups other than this for support. That's where I went wrong a few years ago when I tried raw for three months.
When I get cravings I just eat something with protein in it and that takes care of it.
Today, after a tennis match the other team had pizza. Plus the club had a bar and the other team purchased our team one drink. My team mates sat there eating pizza and beer. I was never a beer drinker and the pizza didn't even look good to me.
BTW, I've been doing juice fasts for over 20 years!! I haven't done one in two years, but my last one was for 36 days. 3 days raw on both ends and 30 days of juice. That was a great journey.
I actually started back to the raw in preparation for a juice fast, but never did it because of my tennis schedule. Maybe I'll do some juicing during the day, but to be honest with you...my kitchen is a mess enough with raw and juicing just turns it into a night mare. Something to think about!!!

Hey Juli, I know what you mean about the mess. If im juicing nothing else gets done around my house. Glad your hunger is going down. Thats great. I guess that means the body is getting the nutrients you need.

Michigan Roman,
you are correct, I am getting off the SAD diet...but not your typical SAD. We eat all organic, I ate a probably 4-5 servings of vegies a day...hardly any fruit, chicken, fish, potato, rice and processed like pasta, chips etc. I exercise 3-4 times a week and that hasn't changed....drink a lot of water. Oh, I drank two cups of organic coffee a day and red wine. So, please consider me a newbie to the raw food realm. However, I have a good amount of knowledge concerning natural health.
In fact, I read what you said about dehydrators and I'm still unsure what to do. My inherited a plastic (not Excaliber) one from my husband's deceased wife. This is important to me now because I need to have crunchy food to replace chips. I'm not going buy other people's raw, packaged snacks knowing I can make my own. Even if it's just kale chips and crackers, I need to buy a new one.
Back to juicing...I think I'll bring it out tomorrow and start there.

My kitchen my house it all gets a mess. My son helps me juice and I get green snow. Then I neglect the rest of the house cleaning that up. Its even worse if my hubby juices. LOL. :)
