Has anyone done a juice fast/feast with just a vitamix and nutmilk bag for an extended period of time? I'm wondering if it'd be doable or if I'd be setting myself up for failure. Thanks.

yes it's doable if you want to do it. Why do you want to do it?

I've wore out my good ole Jack LaLanne power juicer and don't want to purchase another right now. So have you done an extended juice fast using vitamix and nutmilk bag alone? Thx

yes its doable , its just you might get more pulp sediments into g.i. tract with this method then with a juicer

ide pour the blended liquid thru a fine mesh metal kitchen strainer as first step after blending to remove as much pulp as possible before pouring into nylon mesh bag because it makes cleaning nylon bag easier because your putting less pulp in , its easier to clean the metal mesh strainer

im on day 26 of a fast just using a big 3 gallon pot that i smash stuff up in with a manual potato masher , i add water first to make produce softer for mashing , im doing tomatoes and oranges . then i pour the mash thru metal mesh strainer , then into nylon mesh bag . i make green juices or hard vegi juices like carrot by adding water to blender then whipping the produce up then using same double straining method

ide use blender to do tomatoes same way but with soft stuff like tomatoes the blender method makes them too frothy / foamy / full of air changing taste which i dont like

no I haven't. I can't afford a vitamix or a good juicer for that matter.

lots of people have... it's totally doable!!!

92 days is no different with a juicer than a vitamix and nut mylk bag. ;)

I did 30 days with a crappy blender and a nut milk bag last year. With a Vitamix it should be so awesome. My juices were never pulpy after the nut milk bag unless it was something like melon or mango. The Omega Vert to me actually makes a pulpier juice than nut bagging does.
Make sure you let the fruits and veggies get to almost room temperature first and use room temperature water. Trying to squeeze a nut milk bag of cold juice is painfully cold in the winter.
The bag is easy to clean. After juicing rinse it then put it in a container with some vinegar/water or some peroxide and soak for a few minutes then rinse.
Good luck. You can totally do this.

Thanks for the encouragement shinjite! I'm also appreciative of the tips & looking forward to getting started. Thanks again :).
