I am looking for a good tasting green drink that does not have iodine, gluten, soy or kombu or seaweed in it due to my Hashimoto's thyroiditis I cannot take iodine or seaweek. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am looking for a barley grass type replacement instead without iodine or seaweed along with the smoothies. Thank you.

Pines (http://www.wheatgrass.com/default.aspx)has powdered wheat grass and powdered barley grass (http://www.vitacost.com/Pines-International-Barley-Grass-Powder-10-oz/?ci_sku=043952000117&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword}#IngredientFacts) that do not have any additional ingredients. I have no idea how they taste.

I mix Heathforce Nutritionals Vitamineral Green with this wheat grass powder:

Try the greens offered at online raw food shops. Are you just looking to mix it in with something? You should be able to find something you like easily. I just did a blog review on a place that sells good greens that I mix in with my green smoothies.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like Pines might be the best. They have their product in amber colored GLASS bottles which is better than the plastic. Thank you!

Does anyone know if wheatgrass is better than barley grass for you?

For me I use a green star juicer and juice mixtures of spinach, celery, parsley, pok choi, self-picked nettles, mangold, cucumber, green peppers, sometimes bo choi & ong choi and others from the Asia shop, sometimes cilantro, sometimes ginger or turmeric, and sometimes home grown barley or wheat grass, or lettuce or other salads, and sometimes I add grapefruits or apples or carrots, but only a very little of one or two of the last three mentioned. Fresh is always best!

I have never heard of Pines. I went to their website and tried to find out if their product was raw. I couldn't find an answer on the website so emailed them.

IMHO, Healthforce Nutritionals products are far superior than any other product out there!

Vitamineral Green from Healthforce Nutritionals might well be an excellent product, but it contains seaweed, and the OP specifically stated "I am looking for a good tasting green drink that does not have iodine, gluten, soy or kombu or seaweed in it due to my Hashimoto's thyroiditis".

I bought Pines. They only have barley or wheat grass in them. And it is in a brown bottle. There is extensive info on their site. And, I called Customer Service at least 10 times to ask questions and they always answered them and were polite.
