View Full Version : Does anyone experience this?
One thing I noticed about being on the raw food diet is that I don't seem to have the same amount of energy I usually have with eating meats and poultry. Plus, I don't seem to have the heat energy as before.
Just wanted to throw that out there to see what other's results were.

After the first week my energy spiked. I was cleaning and organizing like crazy but I had to detox something fierce to get that energy. Its was worth it.
I've been eating this way for over 4 years and my energy is low most days - but that's because of thyroid issues for me. One of these here days I'll get my thyroid balanced and then I expect big things! *Ü*

It seems for me that my energy is up, up, up. And everyday it just increases more and more. I have also noticed that my mind is working so much faster. And I feel like I want to accomplish a dozen different things all at once. "Maybe it's time for me to study bi-location ;-p". But I have also done enough colonics to help my body detox quicker cus I didn't want to deal with the low energy and slow mode of detoxing. Though before I did the colonics I noticed days when I was depressed and had low energy, "and I was raw probably a few weeks before I finally decided on the colonics". But I also knew it was because I had toxins in me that needed to come out. And after a series of colonic sessions I began feeling amazing everyday. And everyday just gets better and better.
I read just recently also that most people when switching to a raw food diet don't feel as warm as they used to. But after a period of time they begin to notice that going away and their body begins to produce enough heat. Actually it stated that they began noticing the opposite, where they felt warm all the time.
DebB - Have you been or have you eaten lots of dulse, kelp, nori, etc...? I'm just curious cus someone was mentioning to me a few days ago of their daughter that was having thyroid issues too and I thought a raw food diet would help if they ate lots of kelp, but I didn't know, and I'm curious with your experience.

Thank you for asking fastfreedom - that was very kind to share your friend's experience with her daughter. No, I have not eaten a lot of the sea veggies. I do have them from time to time, but they're sort of difficult for me to eat as I'm not a lover.
I am currently seeing a very good MD who has me on 1 regular plus 2 compounded meds as my thyroid has been killed. But I'm also working with a Naturopath who's a detox specialist and master herbalist and I want to give his advice a try to see if I can get my thryoid balanced (even after having it killed, I still maintain some function that I'm going to build upon). That's where I'm at right now. Big hugs to you! *Ü*
