Anyone else have a hard time with the vegetable/green juices. Would it be possible to do a fruit only juice fast?
I started 3 days ago and I'm having a hard time with the green juices. Planning on a 30 day fast. Already down 9.7 lbs.

Ahhh, add some fruit juice to it to sweeten it. Know that some greens are very bitter too. Might want to lessen those if you're using them.

which green things are you juicing? I can't stand juiced cucumber. Love cucumber in chunks and slices etc but juiced, it makes me feel sick!
Start off with just one type of green. Then make up a juice of say apple, carrot and lemon and then add small amounts of the green until you notice the taste/ don't like it.
It may be that you love cucumber juice but can't stand spinach but unless you try them all individually you won't know which is friend and which is foe.

You know it may be the cukes. I started peeling them before juicing because I could taste it so strong and it helped some but still kinda overpowered the
other stuff. I'm gonna just eliminate them and hope for the best. ps. I put some string beans in a mean green type juice the other night and it
was the most terrible tasting thing I ever put in my mouth! I'll never forget that taste.

I used to hate the taste too but now I love them. I add the juice of 2 limes or lemons it cuts down the green flavor. I also use few apples or stevia. My favorite green juice: Spinach, celery, apples and lemon. Tastes like a lemonade. Swiss chard is a nice green for juice also. I just started adding parsley its a great detoxifier. your going to have come up with your own favorite recipe by experimenting. Spinach and pineapple together is sooo good.

Chug it like medicine! That is basically what it is, right? I wouldn't stop adding veggies, they are so good for you and have a lot in them fruits alone are missing. However, you can mix! Carrots and apples are in just about every juice I make my son, both are high in sweet. But he'll also down it when I add kale to the mix, celery, tomatoes, parsley, cilantro, cucumber (with the skin.) Careful when adding the veggies if you can't drink the taste, just a little is better then none! 1-4 leaves of kale are okay, but pure kale juice, not something I want to drink, even chug.

When I did a fast last year I drank mostly fruit juice and maybe two or three times a week I would make a drink with greens in it.
If you wanna get some greens in then use a mild flavored green such as spinach or romaine. But also mix it with something sweet. Gradually add more greens as you can handle the flavor. Eventually you'll be putting greens in every juice or smoothie you make. LOL I can't make a fruit only smoothie or juice anymore cus it's way too sweet for me. I gotta add greens of somekind. And that's all I did was gradually increase my intake of greens, until I reached the point to where I now crave em.

I guess I'll just add in the greens slowly as mentioned. I still think it'll be mostly fruit for me though.

On my 209 day fast last year I consumed a lot of fruit juices. My advice to you is this. Consume what you find yummy. Your body knows what it needs... and it'll be attracted to the foods that will fill those needs.
I walk through the grocery store and touch all the live foods... I find that I start to salivate when I touch the ones my body needs at that time.
