I think I will jump in for January. Have been eating mostly raw since getting sick toward the end of last year (after 5 months all raw). But I think I want to give 100% raw another chance, and not eat as many processed raw foods.. just stick to a simpler diet and hopefully all will be well! So we'll see how it goes for January. Point being, I'm in!

I'll be joining all of you.
This will be a hard month to do it because we have 3 family birthdays and our anniversary in Jan.
But, I know I must stick to a VERY clean and raw diet to get my health back up and running.
I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!

I just joined the site today and I wanted to start the new year out raw so this is perfect for me.:woot: I will join you on the 30 day raw food challenge. I was raw for a while but reverted back to eating foods with little to no live enzymes. However, all of the problems slowly surfaced. So, I want to go and stay raw this time around. Family can be the biggest challenge, whew!!!!
Yes, I'm in for January and beyond!!!!:woohoo:

I'm definitely in! It's been a tough, difficult year for me...health scare in May/June (uterine cancer) and yo-yoing back and forth since then. I was feeling let down, and defeated...and thus reverted to old habits. I'm definitely ready to make a fresh start. :D

Good luck to you all!

Always have fruits the ultimate fast food. Have veggies cut up and ready. I use almond butter\honey for a dip. You can get raw bars and stick in your purse. Smoothies and juices are great on the go. You can make wraps wrap a bananna in a kale leaf but some agave almond butter yummy snack. Theres a recipe section look at that it has pictures too.

Count me in. For the past couple weeks I've been transitioning to a raw food diet with the intention of being 100% raw beginning 1/1/12. I even started my first-ever blog so I could remain accountable to people following me (and myself, of course). I look forward to having others on this road with me.

Happy New Year!!

I just joined the forum today. I've been about 95% raw for a couple of months now, with the only cooked food being three eggs a day. I'd like to do 100% raw and take off another 20 pounds during January. I've lost 30 pounds since November 1st, a total of 60 pounds since May 1, and 40 pounds during the year before that. I have another 120 pounds to lose.

I'll pick up parsley kale and stuff for my Tom juice the day we begin our fast. Sooooo excited to do this. Parz decided to do a detox program as well so he may not enjoy the beginning of this fast but his body is gonna love him!!!

I'm in!

Just started January 1. Interesting that I have been thnking about doing this for a while and now just found this challenge.

I have eaten raw before and have a very close friend who eats 100% raw, and I have always found it to be refreshing. From what I've read of others who have tried 100% raw it can be a miraculous experience. For me, this is about detoxing and rejuvenating myself and also about living simply.

I hope to track my progress at the end of each week and I am looking forward to hearing about other people's experiences.

Good luck everyone and good health!

WOW its 2012 already. Happy New Year to EVERYONE! Im hoping for a wonderfully HEALTHY start to my new year.
Back in March of 2011 I went raw,,,,lasted 2 months and then started doing some cooked food here and there. Fell off partly due to cost and partly due to laziness on my part, no excuses I am the only one to blame. I dont think I have ever felt as good as I did for them 2 months. Weight melted off me, my skin looked incredible, I had blood stats of a healthy teen athlete, im in my 40's and my overall feeling was contentment. I just plain felt, fabulous. THEN, I went down hill after stopping my raw lifestyle. SO, here I am ready to join some people who want what i want, raw, health, vibrance and overall wellbeing. Count me in on the 30 day challenge!:woot:

I will be back on later in the day to give ya all my info and help keep my accountable and on the right track.

Count me in!

I've been raw for a few months now but this will be my first 30-day challenge -- necessary after stumbling a bit through the holidays, hahahahaa!

Most likely I'll be doing A LOT of juicing this month, and lots of smoothies as well..... don't want to do a full-out juice fast though because I just got a dehydrator :wuv

Rawk on!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!!!!!!!!:woot: day 2 for me, I missed Jan 1st.

So, on day 1 I couldnt have had a better day. Aside form the fact 1 of my puppies took off with a sneaker and I didnt find it until this morning, lol.

Day 1 looked like this.

Breakfast,,,mmmmmmm quart size smoothie, kale, banana, kiwi, clementine, watermelonfrozen strawberries.
Snack, Grapes, nuts
Lunch, LARGE tomatoe and green pepper salad with walnuts and spices. Cold and fresh and ohhhh so good.
Snack, bananas.
Dinner, got home from Augusta late so grabbed a banana and then went to bed.
Lots of water. supplements, b-12, vitimin E. spirulina, and maca. All kinds of energy :excited:

Weight day 1 - 212.5
weight day 2 - 209, amazing how much water our bodies retain when we eat a crappy lifestyle. Im off to get ready for work. Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!

Hello, I am new at eating Raw. Yesterday was my first day. I was about 95% raw yesterday. I had torilla chips with tomatoes, salsa after a bowl of fruit for dinner. I also notice my lips are chapped so I will drink more water. I only had about three cups yesterday. I am excited, I have decide to eat raw and look forward to all the support and advise.
