View Full Version : Are you able to meditate easier during fasting, or the raw food diet?

I have only been associated with 80% raw foodism for less than two months, but I find it still hard to practice meditation due to my before habits of eating cooked food and animal meat.

I completed a 17 day fruit only fast a week ago and a three day juice fast the other day, but couldn't go any further, because I spent all my money towards the Christmas holiday and my family.

I noticed that I wasn't able to sleep much during the nights of fasting. But when I got back into eating, I started sleeping better again.

Perhaps the days where I am fasting and I have a clearer mind and can't sleep much are the days where I have the opportunity to perform the best meditations.

Do you guys have easier times meditating during periods of fasting?

Well what are you having difficulty with exactly?

Also, try some nuts.

It's not about what you eat; it's about the patience it takes. There are meat-eaters who meditate; there are people who fast who meditate; there are all kinds of people who meditate... Women and men. Now, if you're just looking for guys to respond here....

Btw ~ I'm curious about your name....

No I have been told that when you stop eating, you become more conscious day and night and less able to sleep during nights.

Being conscious would make a perfect time for meditation, wouldn't it?

Being conscious is just ~ being conscious. It's not about a special time. It's about waking up ~ now. Anytime... You don't have to do anything special... just wake up!
