I'm going to a mostly traditional English Christmas dinner this weekend (very similar spread to Thanksgiving meal), which will have some good raw veg add-ons. I need to prepare a juice for those not drinking alcohol--any suggestions? Last time I made apple-pear juice, which went over well, but just looking to do something different. The forecast is for warm weather (about 75 degrees F).

(Normally I'm not a fan of juice with food, but this is a non-raw crowd and whatever I make has got to be healthier than soda even if not ideally combined.)

I saw a recipe on a blog for honeydew melon and mint juiced together..... the two combined are supposed to taste just like a mojito, yum!

Howbout water kefir? You can add lemon and whatever flavours you like in it. Naturally bubbly and sour, brewed taste. Or kombucha - you used to be able to buy it bottled from Wholefoods, maybe not anymore. Or coconut juice straight from the young coconut (sometimes called 'jelly coconut' by them English Caribbeans). Or you could make a thin smoothie mostly out of coriander, but with lemon (or lime) juice, some cashew nuts, bit of avocado, and some olive oil added (maybe cayenne pepper and soya sauce as well). Very refreshing and if you like the coriander taste - divine! Or you could make a pink grapefruit drink with frozen berries blended in.... everybody likes berries... Add some sparkly water in for a festive celebratory touch.

My bf made a killer smoothie this morning: banana, mixed frozen berries, cashew nuts, figs, raisins, cloves, cinnamon, hemp seeds. Mmmmm-mmmmm

I think it's hard to beat Apple, carrot and lemon. Sometimes I think I could live on it forever - of course I don't but it is absolutely my favourite and has been since I discovered how much nicer apple and carrot juice is if you add lemon.

You could make a red fruit punch. Watermelon, apple, lemon, orange and pineapple. Or whatever fruits you like. Or make one red and one green. Spinach apple lemon.

in a different vein is fresh crushed tomato juice with what ever additions you like , a V8 type juice

adding fresh crushed garlic cloves and parsley sprig gets very healthy , cold / flu fighting

add cayene and it becomes very warming

and at this time o year can usually find good price on end of season tomatos in produce stores ,
im buying roma types @ .99 lb currently , just bought a bunch for a juice fast im on

I juiced up 6 apples and 3 bartlett pears and a handful of blackberries. Tastes like a banana smoothie. Add a shot of seltzer water for those soda lovers and bang, everyone is happy.
