Hey Everyone,
I'm new here and hoping to find some other health enthusiasts to chat to! I live with my unhealthy family which is rather difficult at times, either in them not accepting what I'm saying about eating healthier, or with them tempting me with their food being in the house!
I am 100% positive that the best thing for my health is to eat raw foods and I am now ready to take the massive leap (In the winter for some reason!) to become raw.
Before anyone asks, don't worry I already have a Vitamix, warm soup here I come! BUT I am cursed with being an amazing cook, something which I must transfer into raw food masterpieces!
I do however have a really dodgy metabolism, something which I have always been annoyed by, meaning that even as a Wheat, Gluten, Corn, Sugar and Potato free Vegan I maintain my same weight and don't lose weight unless on around 500cals, I have no idea why this is, quite frustrating to say the least! I even went on a 10day juice feast last year and lost not one pound! Strange considering I am careful not to switch my body onto starvation mode.
Oh completely off track there but the point was that I don't see myself being able to consume terribly many Avocados or Nuts so I am hoping to find out what veg will make up the same nutrients.
I have also decided to do 2 weeks of eating raw! I feel the family will have a go on Christmas day itself but then I plan on being straight back into raw foodism!
