I'm not completely new to a raw food diet but i still have a lot to learn. I went raw for 30 days over the summer and i felt really good and it was a great experience. Because i wasn't really prepared though and due to money issues i stopped eating raw. When i think about how good i felt in just a short time, i realize that any sacrifce i have to make to follow a raw diet is worth it for my health and over all feeling of well being. I'm 26 years old and have always struggled with energy and and an overall sense of well being. I have also had weight issues with my weight always being up and down and not the best skin. I know that a raw diet can have great affects on my body, mind and spirit and look forward to starting the journey again and sticking with it. I know i need support and still have more to learn and a long way to go. I'm also a little concerned that i am starting this without a dehydrator or an super good food processor but those are items i can aquire along the way. I'm looking forward to meeting people and learning new things.

You can do it on a budget. I go to the farmers market Sunday afternoon when everything is sale for about 1/2 price. Celery and apples are my staple. Aramantha (raw almond butter) I joined there mailing list they sent me a $10 coupon. Sprouting is another way to do it cheap. I only had success with lentils they are really good with carrots. There is a thread under the food discussion that has many ways to cut costs and keep them down. Good luck. I just started again too and I feel great after 3 days. Definitel more energy.

I also had minor skin problems; acne on my face and upper back. I started with water fasting and continuing raw and my skin has been clearing up. I'm still very new to it as well and need support! I so badly wish it were still summer!!
