Hello, first of all, I'm still trying to transition into raw. I'm hoping this website and forum will help me as it has been a struggle and I always relapse and then feel sick to my stomach- literally.

However, I have recently read that I should avoid cruciferous vegetables since I have Hashimoto. Anyone on raw and still consumes cruciferous vegetables? I just don't know what to eat anymore. All smoothies I make have either kale, arugula, spinach, etc. Even my salads I make with romaine lettuce and spinach. I like to add almonds in my smoothies and I'm not supposed to eat those either.

Any recommendations???

Thank you!

I'm hypothyroid after being hyperthyroid and having my thyroid (sadly) killed. I do not avoid any cruciferous veggies because of this. However - I don't eat a lot because they're difficult for me to digest. I eat a lot of spinach. We just had a massaged kale salad for dinner tonight. I haven't heard of avoiding almonds... *Ü*

Hi,

There has been some time while I was not logging into this forum. Today is a very good reason for this!! It is the first time I got positive results on my Thyroidytis and Hashimoto! My previous lab readings were F4 at the lower limit, TSH in the mid range of the norm, ATPO too high to count >1300 (I has always been this high and I never knew the exact value). I was taking 1 grain/a day of dessicated Thyroid.
Today my laboratory readings are: F4 at the lover limit, TSH somewhere at the lover limit, ATPO ONLY 14!!!! It seems that I am still hypothyroid but my autoimmune process has stopped. I cannot believe it. I am aware that the autoimmune attack can come back but for a while I am so happy! I am about 70% raw and planning to make 100% in summer. I do avoid coniferous but to a certain extent but from time to time I eat something. I also avoid gluten.
Best wishes to all!
