I hope this is an ok place to post this. My mom and I were discussing juicing and she seems to think I HAVE to have some kind of protein or take a multivitamin everyday in order to survive on solely juicing. Can someone please tell me if I can goo 100% juicing or do I really need protein and a multivitamin??

What you need are amino acids and amino acids are in EVERY raw food you eat ~ moreso than in anything cooked because cooking destroys them. As long as you get a variety of fruits, veggies and greens, you are good-to-go. Get Norman W. Walkers book on Fruit and Vegetable juices. She'll be amazed at what she reads ~ and so will you.

It depends on here you are with your diet. As people on the forums will tell you, check your daily intake on sites like cronometer.com and it'll tell you exactly what nutrients your'e getting daily. I was quite surprised that I was getting just what I needed when I was juicing alone. I'm eating and drinking nothing but fruits and vegetables and I'm getting plenty of protein. But that's just me.
What's right for one person may be wrong for another.

"Parents just don't understand." My family is always hitting me with "where is the (protein, calcium, amino acids, etc) you can't get what you need doing what your doing." Protein is an easy one, its in lots of vegetables. Carrot juice is 1.4% protein.
