I just discovered this forum and am very impressed at what a lively community you folks have going! I've been vegan for many years but just discovered the raw diet in August of '04 when a raw foodie visited me for a week. I agreed to eat all raw while she was visiting in order to make it easier for her and to give me a chance to try out this odd-sounding diet. After a week I was feeling so good that I never stopped eating 100% raw for the next 6+ months.

Then last April I moved and have been traveling for the last 6 months. During this time I have found my eating routines and food preparation schedules so hard to stick to that I reverted to eating cooked food out of convenience. Now that I'm comfortably settled in my new house for the winter and have room to spread out my dehydrator, juicers, blender, etc. I'm ready to get back to a 100% raw diet. I'm sure this forum will be a positive encouragement as I do this. Thanks to all for your contributions!

Solstice, welcome to you! I discovered this community in August, and has been my inspiration to go 100%, myself. I am thoroughly loving raw, and can relate to feeling fabulous.

Welcome!

Our own wonderful SweetGoddess lives in Montana, also, in case you hadn't noticed. She would be a wonderful resource and support for you there. I'd love to live in the same state with her, myself!!

Welcome again!!

Thank you for the welcomes! RawTruth, I'm actually attending a raw "cooking" class with SweetGoddess next Saturday. I just found out about her and am excited about all the raw community resources she is building in the area, despite the unlikely location of NW Montana!

Thanks for the greeting SweetGoddess! I had a great detox weekend and am feeling better.

Montana isn't cold. Well, I guess we DID have our first snow today! ;-) I measured nearly a half-inch here before it melted with the day's rain.

I live in buffalo NY area, although I've never been to Montana, I think I'm somewhat used to cold, not saying I like to go out in it, unless of course I was living on a horse ranch and I needed to go horseback riding.. :p

Anyone from Montana live on a horse ranch who needs help???
