Do you have any tips on pre fast and breaking a fast. I have never fasted before. I want to start with a 3 day juice fast. Do you eat light the day before? Enema? How do you break a fast? If im juice fasting would fruit be a good way to break the fast?

I have some experience now on how not to do it right so I will offer my suggestions. Before your fast you may want to take several days up to a week and incorporate some green smoothies into your day if you aren't already. You can transition into the fast by replacing some meals with smoothies then with some juices. Going from SAD food to fast immediately sets yourself up for big cravings and hunger pains.
But, it is more important to end your fast properly. Ease off the fast with a mixture of juices and fruits - fruits lower in fiber are better such as bananas, watermelon, etc. I made the mistake of jumping right into salads and fibrous fruits and vegetables and that is like an assault on your slowed down digestive system.
If you are only fasting for 3 days it may be easier to transition on and off than if you are doing a longer fast.
