I've been on raw for about a month now. Yesterday, I tried a piece of cake at our school's office. Today, I ate cooked food.
Both times, I began feeling nauseous with migraines after an hour after taking the foods.
Has anyone felt this before? I can't blame my raw diet as I have been eating like this for the past few weeks without a problem.
Also what is funny is... the foods that I thought I loved, after going on a raw diet.. I do not crave cooked food anymore. I just want to know if my symptoms are normal. I don't mind leaving cooked food forever

It's normal for you but since you are happy leaving cooked foods behind you, I wouldn't bother about it. We aren't allowed to talk about cooked foods on the forum so it's rather a difficult post to an answer.

I react to cooked food but not in the same way as you. I consider myself lucky to react as it reduces the temptation.

It is probably the artificial chemicals and the amount of bad fat that caused me to get sick.
The second time (when I got really sick) was when I ate "animal products", rice, and tofu stew (which also had a lot of meat in it).
And now this morning, someone just made toasted bread (with gluten, dairy, and all that stuff) right now but it does not smell as enticing as it used to when I was pre-raw. I see how my body would react badly to it.
How a month diet can just change my body chemistry... maybe it's a placebo, maybe not. I realized I lost appetite for other cooked foods I used to love as well.
As for the forum rule, I thought we were not allowed to discuss how to eat cooked food? Mentioning them for this kind of question is okay though as we are not advocating it, I think.

You can talk about how the cooked food affected you - what no one is supposed to do is suggest to you ways that you can eat it (for example).
Also, we are a vegan board so keeping your posts more "cooked food item" and less "this kind of animal was eaten" is more welcomed.

I had a cooked meal yesterday, and within 2 or 3 hours had a massive headache. Have noticed this reaction before. In general, the more I'm eating raw, the more I notice the effects of cooked food - headaches, yes - but also sluggishness, low energy and lack of concentration.
Sounds like your experience is pretty normal!

Alright, so I guess this is not something I should be surprised over.
I see. I understood, Aleesha, thank you!

I've been super-high raw for two and a half years, but it was a journey. I would be truckin along, thinking I was so raw, and would discover some stapler I used regularly wasn't even raw and would have to eliminate it from my diet. I still eat some things, every now and then, that I am not sure about and my body is extremely quick to let me know. Upset stomach, headache, all kinds of crappy reactions. So, yeah, totally normal!

Sigh, bad skin all over again.. I just ate a raw meal of bok choy and sweet pepper (I ate these often without getting reaction) and now I am getting acne even though I feel better. Is it detox?

This happened to me about a week ago. My wife made home made brownies and I had a few.
I felt sick shortly afterwards then I had high speed exiting from my exit all night long.
The rest of the brownies sat on the counter for a week then she threw then away.
The funny thing is they did not taste as good as they used to. Whole oranges in the Vita mix
tastes way more sweet then the brownies did. Guess my body knows best.
