View Full Version : I made Pumpkin Pie !
I am so excited I made Pumpkin Pie last night and it was incredible ! My kids and I are devouring it!
Following the directions in Alissas's book I used Calabaza squash and wow !
You have got to try it ! I also made the Date Nut Tort for my husband since he does not like Pumpkin pie and he is enjoying that very much.

Could you (or someone) post a recipe? I just bought an organic pumpkin last night and wanted to try making a soup, but dont know where to begin! -ive never made a raw soup before.

i got another question too...when I buy raw pumpkin seeds from the store, they're the green interior seed. Can you eat the white exterior too? Or is there a way to remove the exterior so you can eat the edible portion?

I made it this morning!!! Mmmmm, so good. I don't have Alissa's recipe (YET!) but I have an older raw recipe book and I found a good recipe for pumpkin pie. It is SOOOOOO good! Mine was a little runny, so I put it in the freezer to firm it up and it is delicious! My daughter was gobbling it up too. :)
Hi Rawmommie, mine was a tad bit loose, I let it chill over night but next time will make more crust and use a little less of something to firm it up.
My dehyrdator is coming this week and looking forward to trying those Cinnamon Rolls !

plucked....I don't have a food processor. I used a Vitamix. But I bet you could use a processor. Whatever works I always say :p
