Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me... I can't get irish moss to work. I soaked it, discarded the soaking water and mixed it up in a normal cheap blender with new, fresh water. It wouldn't break down completely but some of it did. I blended it for a long time but it wouldn't thicken, then I placed it in the fridge and days after it was still completely watery, no evidence of it thickening.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I couldn't find an answer on this board or on the internet....

Help please! I want to make all these amazing raw desserts since I'm just off my juice fast!

I apprecate it...

Ok, if no-one knows about irish moss, can someone advice on what I could use instead to thicken desserts? Thanks!

I use it for crackers but does it work for cakes and mousse also? I thought you would need too much of the flax and it would interfere with the taste?
