Are greens and fruit a good combination? There seems to be conflict in the raw food world about these 2 foods in combination.

Some say, they don't combine at all, some say they do, others say only the lettuces combine well.

So my guess is if one wants to really combine them one should be able to combine them with the lighter greens, like lettuces, but can that also be inclusive of for example baby greens, and spinach which are softer greens? How about sprout greens (ie sunflower/pea shoots/buckwheat etc.) and microgreens (ie alfalfa, broccoli, clover, etc).

I think the best thing is to try what you feel you want. See how it makes you feels.

I often eat avocado with kale salad and feel fine. I eat tomatoes with pretty much anything.
Apple goes in salads which have leafy and non leafy veg. I use citrus juice in dressings and add orange segments to my kale salads sometimes.

I worry less about what the various books say and concentrate on what my body thinks and says.
