Hey everyone,

This is my first post on the board, and I'm really excited to get started preparing new foods. Before I begin though, I need to determine what kind of blender that I would like to get. I know there is a great deal of debate regarding blendtec vs vitamix, but my question is geared towards the latest revisions of the blendtec machine.

I believe one of the best selling points of the blendtec was the 25 programmable options, but as far as I can tell from the latest manuals they have removed the programmable button functionality. Does anyone know if this is the case or it has simply been omitted from the manual? If it has been removed, I can't see any reason to get a blendtec over a vitamix as I would just need to operate it manually anyway.

Thanks for your input!

dont know about manual . but just to give you my angle if the programs have been eliminated thats just one less thing that can go wrong with it so better . and with blenders so powerful it doesnt take a long time at blender to whip anything up so programs not really that valuable . ide check out to compare www.discountjuicers.com , the sites creator john kohler is also on youtube with tons of vids covering all small appliances . hes totally gung ho raw goodist and isnt a salesman but rather just giving honest nuetral opinions
