I posted a thread recently. wondering about when the sugar cravings would disappear. But without even trying or thinking about it, I just started eating a ton more greens and a lot less sugary fruits, and within 2 days, my sugar cravings were non-existent. And they've been since. The only fruit I have really kept in are my avocados and tomatoes, and that's where I am getting my calories from (as well as from the Olive Oil) For some reason, my tummy even looks slimmer when I'm not eating a lot of fruit. Just thought I'd share.

Good for you, learning what works for you is the Key ! I too limit fruits to apples, and other lower sugar fruits and only 1-2 a day.

Yeah, I try to limit my fruit too. For some reason, too much fruit sends me on sugar crashes, especially if I follow a Graham type of approach. I go hypoglycemic. So now I eat greens or nuts and seeds with fruits unless its just a piece as a snack. Do others have similar experiences?
So people that follow Graham say its the best diet ever. I feel terrible eating that way!
What fruits were you eating?? I ask because I usually eat apples and berries etc.. Recently I tried some fresh figs and got bloated dizzy and lethargic within 15 minutes. They were with a little bit of fresh pear also--both being ripe. I know pears are fine for me and it must be the sugary fruits??
Thanks,
JMD

I usually eat apples, berries, oranges, and sometimes A banana.
Sometimes the fruit helps the carb cravings though, but if I don't eat some nuts and seeds, my blood sugar crashes on high fruits, no added fats. Trying not to eat TOO much fat but seem to feel better on a moderate fat, moderate fruit diet. I guess I feel best not doing the extremes!

IMHO and from my own experiences it's all about balance. If there is imbalance in my diet, there's cravings for other things, whether that be suguar, SAD foods, or pick your choice.
Now I do eat a lot of greens too...and I dont have many cravings, but if it's only greens that I eat, my cravings go up, hence the balanced comment.

Livenraw,
I've been reading "Conscious Eating" and the other cookbook from Dr. Cousens, and he condone's a low sugar fruit diet. I'm actually really glad that I saw this thread today, I've been thinking that I should decreased my sweet fruit intake, I bet it would help with my weightloss as well. I have kind of un-knowingly decreased my sweet fruit and increased my greens...guess my body's telling me something!
